This is how Eternity the book was born. The book takes us from the begining of time, to the possible future of Mankind. An important subject in the book is religion and beliefs.   From Here to Eternity manages to be both an extremely funny travelogue and a deeply moving book about what death means to us all. Dylan Thuras Doughty is a relentlessly curious and chipper tour guide to the underworld, and the weirder things get, the happier she seems. Brand: Norton, W. W. & Company, Inc.

The Eternity Book is an immeasurably powerful magic tome given to Merlin by his father Belial. It contains the known history of the universe. History. The Eternity Book was ingested by The Thing-That-Cannot-Die who absorbed its magical energy. Apparently a copy of the Eternity Book along with Sultan Suleiman's scimitar was hidden beneath an ancient Roman temple by Merlin in Creators: Jack Kirby.

Eternity is the second book Ive read by Maggie Shayne (the other being Texas Homecoming), and by now I think its safe to say that her books just arent for me.

I cant exactly pinpoint why, but both books just didnt suck me in, and in both cases I got bored, skimmed an awful lot, and just gave up at some point.4/5.

It is a brutal book but not gloomy. 'From Here to Eternity' is loaded with irony and thoughtful discussions about a variety of human conditions. It occurs during a time when women had limited options and Jim Crow was still very much alive. Information was easily manipulated for patriotic reasons and military culture was insular/5().

Furnishing Eternity continues Giffels’s unlikely literary career as the bard of Akron, Ohio Only a very skilled engineer of a writer can transform the fits and starts, the fitted corners and sudden gouges of the assembly process into a kind of page /5(20). Eternity was the third book I read in the Eon series.

It picked up where Eon left off and continued the story line bringing it to a conclusion. Note, I did not say a "satisfying" or "good" conclusion/5. Isaac Asimov's The End of Eternity takes place in the far future after humanity has learned to "travel" thru time.

Eternity is the name of a structure created outside of or in parallel with time, such that occupants of Eternity can travel from any time after the physics breakthrough that allowed for Eternity all the way to approximatelycenturies into the future with nothing apparently Cited by: As the final book in the Fury trilogy, Eternity does a good job of tying up loose ends.

The characters hold true to their motivations from the first two books and Miles doesn't leave any gaping plot holes. Unfortunately, since the main point of this book seemed to be bringing everything full circle, there wasn't quite enough action/5.

From Here to Eternity is the debut novel of American author James Jones, published by Scribner's in Set inthe novel focuses on several members of a U.S. Army infantry company stationed in Hawaii in the months leading up to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

It is loosely based on Jones' experiences in the pre-World War II Hawaiian Division's 27th Infantry and the unit in which Author: James Jones.

And Eternity is the final conclusion of the series, ending with the ultimate Incarnation, the Incarnation of God. (Note: Im not counting Under a Velvet Cloak here.) While the first five books were solid on their own right, For Love of Evil really gave an entirely new perspective on /5.

Across Eternity is the second book in the across time duet and a spinoff for the parallel duet. it answers so many of our questions about the time travel and how it works with the mysterious island. As someone who is a sucker for paranormal and historical books, /5.

It took just one man, Arthur Stace, “Mr Eternity”, an underclass battler, former drunk and criminal to inspire an entire city. Arthur’s story is an Australian story and one we all need to read.

You can discover the true story of this unlikely Australian icon in Mr Eternity: The Story of Arthur Stace. Now along comes the "writer?s cut" of James Jones's novel From Here to Eternity—published inwinner of the National Book Award for Fiction inand made into a film the following year—to "restore" the original vision.

The book FHTE has been dominated by its slimmed-down movie adaptation as much as any big American novel/5(12). A breathless account, with thick coats of conspiracy theory, of the doctrines that drive Steve Bannon. Teitelbaum, whose previous book, Lions of the North (), focused on nationalism and anti-immigration activism in Nordic countries, is an ethnomusicologist who has long reported on the radical right.

He characterizes his latest book as something between ethnography and investigative Author: Benjamin R. Teitelbaum. Eternity has much less of a movng plot, which is why I think many reviewers don't like it as much. Eternity challenges the reader to think about what's right and what's wrong, and how the answers to those questions make them feel.

I think this is an important book from its philosophy, but yes, if you are looking for action, keep looking/5(5).

"Eternity" is a finalist for a Parsec Award. Come down to DragonCon this weekend where I'll be hanging out and giving away some swag. 1/6/12 The editing process for "Oblivion: Book II of the Eternity Series" has begun. The ending is still being fine-tuned, but the rest of it is under the knife as we speak.
